The Shetland Trader Havra shawl begins with a Shetland style centre construction where yarn overs are made at the beginning of every row as the triangle is formed. These are then picked up to work the border. An applied edging is then attached to the live border stitches.
Gauge: 20 sts and 42 rows = 10cm / 4" in garter stitch. Note: This gauge is after aggressive blocking. If you decide not to do a gauge swatch make sure that you have plenty of yarn on hand as the yardage used will likely be affected.
Needles: 4.0 mm / US 6
Sizing: Small (medium, large), Wingspan: 41 ¾ (47 ½, 56) inches, Depth: 20 ¼ (23, 27) inches
