Bluefaced Leicester is exceptionally adaptable wool, great for garments that need to be soft but durable, such as socks, shawls, sweaters, mittens and hats. In wearing Bluefaced Leicester wool drapes well without feeling heavy.
Gotland sheep originated on the Swedish island of Gotland, thought to be brought by the Vikings. Gotland wool resembles fine mohair, wears comfortable in next-to-the-skins garments. Its predominant colours are a range of greys - from pale silver to charcoal. Gotland wool drapes well and has a subtle lustre, it is ideal for garments that need to be lightweight and durable.
