Bohin's quilting needles, also known as Betweens, are the needles for traditional hand quilting. These needles are short, narrow and sharp and feature a small, rounded eye. Don’t be fooled by the small size of these needles: they may look little but their shorter length helps make the needle easy to control while creating tiny, accurate stitches. The thickness and sharpness of Bohin's Betweens make them strong enough to penetrate multiple layers of fabric with ease. Betweens range in sizes from No. 3 to No. 12.
No. 3 is the longest and thickest needle, and No. 12 the shortest and thinnest one. It is recommended that beginners start with a size 8 or 9 needle and when comfortable with that size try a smaller size (No. 10 or No. 12).
